Mechs & Meat

You are a squad of mech pilots fighting in a war that has lasted decades. Conscripted, recruited, press-ganged, each one of you has dealt with your term of enlistment in different ways: kept your head down, become fatalistic, pretended everything was fine. Whatever. You’ve nearly made it; your time is almost up. There’s just a few more missions before you get to go home.

Mechs & Meat is a narrative, micro-ttrpg where you and several of your friends take on the roles of mech pilots in an endless war, navigating intersquad relationships while trying to stay alive. There are simple mechanics for health tracking (through inventory management) some optional rules for turning your final few missions into a short campaign (term of enlistment? name TBD), and additional rules for mechanical connections between characters via Entanglements and Drives.

Mechs & Meat started out as a Lasers & Feelings (by John Harper) hack that grew a bit too big for a single page. It has not been playtested extensively, so let me have it in the comments.
